FULTON--Madrid Amerson, 80, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023, at Tishomingo Manor. She was born May 9, 1943 to the late Alvis Stephens and the late Marjorie South Stephens in Iuka. She retired from Genesco after many years of service. Madrid was a member of First Baptist Church Fulton and enjoyed reading, going to flea markets, raising day lilies, and spending time with her family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday July 23, 2023 at First Baptist Church Fulton with Dr. Kenneth Bishop, and Bro. Scott Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Tishomingo Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pm - 8pm on Saturday July 22 at Senter Funeral Home and from 1pm - 2pm on Sunday July 23 at First Baptist Church Fulton.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Donnie Amerson of Fulton, daughter, Jane (Ricky) Dotson of Burnsville, grandsons, Bud (Emily) Dotson of Iuka, and Wes (Sarah Beth) Dotson of Ramar, TN, 4 great grandchildren, and 1 sister, Margaret (Mackey) Wade of Fulton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvis and Marjorie Stephens, and a brother, Terry Stephens.
Pallbearers will be Rex Hollingsworth, Jim McCain, Joe Rutledge, and Mark Grissom.
