At the District Hospital, Gilgandra, on Saturday afternoon, August 18, another old resident of Gulargambone, passed away at the ripe age of 72 years and six months, in the person of Mrs. John Furness. The last four years of her life were marred by ill health, and she was practically an invalid being unable to care for herself. During that period, she resided with Mr. and Mrs. W. Sutton, of Munnell Street, Gulargambone. Born at Armatree, the whole of her life was spent in and around the district. A family of two sons and five daughters are left to mourn their loss. The body was brought from Gilgandra on Sunday and interred in the Presbyterian portion of the cemetery at Gulargambone. The last sad rites were performed by the Rev. Bensley, Methodist Minister of Gilgandra, and the funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr. G. Skinner.
