In March 2007, Wally Bronner, owner of Bronner's Christmas Wonderland in Frankenmuth, posed with a Santa Claus decoration to celebrate his 80th birthday.

Wally Bronner said his giving spirit was instilled years ago. After leaving a holiday party in Saginaw he heard singing from a distance, followed it to the Saginaw Rescue Mission and was invited inside. "The music was different, the dress was different, the selection of food was different, but I guess that's our world, and it's important that we look at all aspects and try to be of assistance where we can, "Bronner said. Bronner died Tuesday, April 2, after a battle with cancer.
