Dick Avant, 67, died at the home of his daughter Mrs. Mort Jepson, in the Phillips community at 3 o'clock this morning.
Interment will be made in the Davis graveyard this afternoon.
Deceased was a well-known farmer of the Baxter community and is survived by two sons, Millard S and Frank Avant, both of this community and one daughter, Lena May Avant Jepson. Also numerous relatives and friends.
His demise followed a stroke of paralysis suffered some days ago.
