Gerald P. Flood, 48y, brother of Congressman Daniel J. Flood, was found dead yesterday morning in his apartment, Philadelphia, due to heart attack. Mr. Flood a native of Wilkes Barre, was district manager of Hudson Motor Company, in Philadelphia. He graduated Coughlin High School and attend Syracuse University then transferred to George Washington University, where he was a member of the football team. He received his law degree in 1933 at National Law School, Washington, D.C. and took a position in the law department at Hudson Motor Co.
He received the Purple Heart, in 1940 joined the Navy and served until 1946. He spent 27 months in the Pacific area with the Naval Air Combat Intelligence Unit of Task Force 90. He was honorably discharged with rank of Lt. Commander.
He returned to Hudson Motor Co., and recalled during Korean War. He was a member of Wilkes Barre Post 132, American Legion.
The funeral will be held from McLaughlin Funeral Home, Wilkes Barre.
