B. Joan Ellison, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family on August 5th.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Aaron Ellison; infant son, Farrell Lynn; son, Tim Ellison; and Parents William and Flora Newcomb. She was the last of 13 siblings.
She leaves Johnny (Rhonda), Darrell and Wesley (Tina) Ellison to cherish her memory. She also leaves 11 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, 6 Great Great Grand Children and many nieces and nephews. A special acknowledgment to son Darrell for his dedication, loyalty, devotion and care for his mother for many years especially up until the last few months.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 11, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Berry Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919. A service will follow at 7:00 PM officiated by Rev. Steve Davis. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Rocky Hill Cemetery, 7408 S Northshore Dr, Knoxville, TN 37919. Pallbearers: Josh Ellison, Nick Ellison, Ryan Ellison, David Baker, Johnny Baker and Andy Guthrie. Honorary pallbearers: Paul Baker, Bradley Ellison and Nathan Ellison.
