THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, October 29, 1989. Doretha Colbert, 79, of Cherry Street Manor died at St. Joseph's Hospital at 6:45 p.m. Sunday, 29 Oct 1989. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, 31 Oct., at the First Baptist Church in Chicota with the Rev. Bruce Burk officiating. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home will make burial in Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Colbert was born 30 Jun 1910, in Chicota, a daughter of Robert E. Addy and Bess Seay Addy. She attended Chicota schools and Paris Junior College. Surviving are two daughters, Linda Hutchins of Dallas and Jerry Monus of Covington, La.; two sons, Ed Colbert of Scurry and Joe Colbert of Arlington; 11 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four sisters, Coila Glass of Dallas, Vignon Jones of Garland, Nell Griffin of Paris and Sarah Winn of Dallas; and three brothers, Stanley Addy of Paris, Gene Addy of Chicota and John Addy of Grapevine. *Buried next to R.E. Addy.
