I found them in Baker Co, Ga 1870 Census. "He was left with the two youngest children Martha and Benjamin still at home. He knew a widow lady named Margaret, whose son had been killed while walking in the woods during a storm. Lightning struck a tree and it fell on him and killed him. Franklin just up and came by Margaret's home one day and asked her to marry him. She thought he was kidding, but when he assured her he wasn't, they were married the following Sunday." This is the Margaret Bentley b. 25 Dec 1826 we find buried next to Franklin Bentley. Nancy must have died between 1870 (Baker Co) and 1880 when I next found Franklin living in Henry Co, AL with wife, Margaret and son Benjamin.
