Professional Football Player. He was a wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Green Bay Packers (1962), Dallas Cowboys (1963), Chicago Bears (1964) and Atlanta Falcons (1966–1967). He was drafted in the 1962 NFL and AFL drafts. Before starting his professional career he attended and played football and basketball at Valley High School. He also spent one year at Gordon Military Academy. After leaving Gordon he went on to attend and play at Clemson University. While at Clemson he was All-ACC twice and Second-team All-ACC once. In 1962 while with the Packers, he helped them win the NFL championship game in 1962. When he left the NFL he worked in the fiber division of Chevron Corporation, operated a textile business and became an investment adviser. Without any past experience, he was asked and became Clemson's first full-time municipal judge in 1986. He held this position until he retired in 2015. He was inducted into the Clemson University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2002 and the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame in 2005. He passed away at the age of 83 from the effects of Parkinson's disease.
