Wednesday morning at his residence, of heart disease, John Beck, Sr. aged 76 years and 6 months. He was a native of Germany and had been a respected citizen of Kalamazoo for more than thirty years. His wife, with whom he had lived for 53 years, survives him, aged 73 years. He leaves four married daughters and a son.
