The death of C. DeBruyn occurred at 1322 South Burdick Street Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from erysipelas resulting from a cat bite received last week as stated in the Gazette-News. His age was 80 years, 4 months and two days. He has been a subscriber of the Gazette for nearly 20 years. He was born in Scravasend province, in Holland, and came to Kalamazoo in 1866, being one of the pioneers in the celery business here. The funeral will be held from the home of Adam Slis, 221 Balch Street, today at 2 o'clock.
