Age 82, passed away unexpectedly at home Sunday evening, January 5, 1986.
He was born May 4, 1903 in Fauness, Michigan, the son of the late, Florence and Eugene Charles.
Charlie worked as a paver operator for many years and later at the George Banta Company until his retirement. Following his retirement Charlie spent most of the summer months at his cottage on Glen Lake, near Amberg, Wisconsin.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Esther; a daughter and son-in-law: Lolamae and Bob Van Wyk, Menasha; eight granddaughters: Cathy, Patti, Lorrie, Lynn, Vicki, Terri, Jill and Wendy; ten great-grandchildren; a brother, Stanley Charles, Wausau; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
The complete funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 1986 at the Wichmann Funeral Home with the Rev. James C.Plymire officiating. Entombment will be in the Star of Hope Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St. from 12 noon Wednesday until the time of the service.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
