Throughout her 95 years, Anna Lois Burgess was loving and lovable, feisty and humorous. She was born October 17, 1927 on Calfkiller Mountain and died August 31, 2023 at her Baxter, Tennessee home.
Always putting family first, she leaves behind four children—Paulette Farnham, Debora Burgess, Karen Burger (Jim), and Mark (Amy) Burgess —who feel so blessed to have had her as their mother. Eight grandchildren—Duane Farnham Jr., Tammy Farnham Scheel, Michael Burger, Bryan Burger, Stephanie Burger Franz, Brandon Burgess, Katie Burgess Berrong, and Avery Burgess—14 great-grandchildren (soon to be 15); three sisters-in-law; and 22 nieces and nephews carry her legacy forward.
Preceding her in death were her husband: Paul David Burgess; her infant daughter; Carol Jean Burgess; her parents: Leslie and Mary Ann Milligan; her seven siblings; and her son-in-law: Duane Farnham Sr.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
