Laura (Watson) Bush was the daughter of Owen J. Watson and Nancy Apple. She was born Sept 7, 1848 in Rossie and married George A. Bush, son of Henry Alfred Bush and Maria Elizabeth (Apple) Bush on July 18, 1865. Laura died Nov 4, 1916 in Gouverneur and her husband George died April 22, 1923, also in Gouverneur.

They were the parents of five children: Nellie, Louisa, Minnie, Laura, and George.
