Minnie Elizabeth Chandler was never married but raised three girls: Betty Jean Cash Chambers, Barbara Ann Cash Roberts Long, and Joyce Marie Cash Petersen. Minnie gave herself to the church (Bethany United Methodist) and to her city. She was a ticket agent at Norfolk and Southern Railroad until it closed and then taught school as a Media Specialist at Bragtown School until retirement. She and her sister, Lizzie Grey Chandler, lived together until death.
