William Leissler, age 76, of Bricktown, NJ, passed away October 18, 1981 at Point Pleasant Hospital. Mr. Leissler was born in Traisa, West Germany on December 12, 1904 and came to the United States in 1927, settling in Newark, NJ and living in Hillside Township before moving to Bricktown in 1973.

Mr. Leissler was employed as a tool and die maker with Dri-Print of Rahway where he retired in 1973. Prior to that time, he had been employed by K & R Tool Company of Roselle Park, and General Instrument of Elizabeth.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Newark, NJ; the Old Guard in Greater Point Pleasant; and the Lakewood Maennerchor.

Survivors are his wife Mrs. Augustine H. Engelhardt Leissler; his daughter, Augustine M. Schmid of Scotch Plains, NJ; sisters, Mrs. Dorothea Haven of Irvington, NJ, Mrs. Katherine Scharfenberg of Morganville, NJ, Mrs. Elizabeth Heeg, and Mrs. Marie Hanstein, both of West Germany; brother George Leissler of West Germany; two grandchildren, Juergen Schmid and Karen Osborne.

Visitation will be held at the Rossi Funeral Home, 1937 Westfield Avenue, Scotch Plains Township on October 20, 1981 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.

Funeral services will be held at the same location on October 21, 1981 at 10 am with past Mark Oldenberg officiating.
Interment will be in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Union Country Heart Fund.
