Soccer Player. Best known for playing in the 1950 upset of England in the 1950 FIFA World Cup, he was a forward who scored three goals for the US National Team in eight appearances and also played for the US in the 1948 Olympics. Also known as Edward Souza-Neto, he was not related to his teammate Clarkie Souza. Most of his club career was spent with Ponta Delgada of Fall River, with whom he won the US Open Cup in 1947 and the US Amateur Cup in 1947 and 1950. He also won the US Amateur Cup with Brooklyn German-Hungarians in 1951. He served in the US Navy in World War II.
