Author, historian, and lawyer. A graduate in Law from the prestigious Universidad Veracruzana, he served as a Magistrate of the Agrarian Court and held positions in various institutions, including the State Pensions Institute, the Ministry of Public Education (SEP), and the City Council of Xalapa. In journalism, he contributed to the renowned newspaper "El Universal" and was editor of the magazine "Crónica Xalapeña." His commitment to journalism led him to hold positions in the professional field, serving as Deputy Secretary of the Latin American Federation of Journalists (FELAP) and General Secretary of the National Union of Press Editors (SNRP). Throughout his career, he wrote 15 books, with notable works such as Heroico Colegio Militar, Sus Inicios," "Xalapa a Través del Tiempo," "Invasión de EEUU a Veracruz, 1914-2020," and "700 Años Xalapa," among others. In 2007, the City Council of Xalapa honored him with the title of "Distinguished Citizen," and in 2009 he was appointed "City Chronicler." In 2016, he received the designation of "Emeritus Chronicler." His career was further recognized by the National Association of Chroniclers of Mexican Cities, who named him a "Lifelong Chronicler" and allowed him to lead the State Association of Chroniclers of Veracruz.
