He was born April 2, 1920, in Springfield, the son of Henry and Pauline Proska Adelman. He married Betty Hotz in 1941. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Robert C. Adelman.
A lifelong resident of Springfield, Mr. Adelman was plant manager of Precision Products Inc. at the time of his retirement in 1985. He had been with the company for 22 years.
Mr. Adelman was a member of Amvets Post 61 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Surviving are his wife, Betty; one daughter, Mrs. Fredrick (Barbara) Freligh of Springfield; one son, James of Fort Worth, Texas; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Albert (Clara) Whithey of San Antonio, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Staab Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bryan Siverly officiating. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
