Frank Laster, son of William and Mary Laster, was born in McLouth, April 15, 1884, and was called away very suddenly Jan. 9, 1939, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Robert Scott.
Frank was well known here having spent all his life in and near McLouth.
He was united in marriage with Eva Vandruff in May, 1914, to which union were born four children, William, Kermit, Betty June and Bobby. His wife preceded him in death 11 years ago.
He became a member of the Church of the Brethren in 1915 but attended services at the Baptist church for the last few years.
He will be remembered by his pleasant disposition and as a good neighbor and a kind and loving father.
Besides his children, William of Kansas City, Kermit of C.C.C. camp, Marysville, Mo., Betty June and Bobby of the home and Dorothy of Oskaloosa, Iowa, by a former marriage, he leaves to mourn his passing, 3 sisters, Mrs. Robert Scott, Mrs. Zan Edmonds and Mrs. Walter Thompson of McLouth; 3 brothers, Emmett Laster of Williamstown, James Laster of McLouth and Jesse Laster.
Many other friends and relatives and a host of friends who will miss Frank's cheery smile.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Baptist church with Rev. F. L. White in charge.
