Jack Eldon Holt, 75 years 11 months and 19 days of age, departed this life at home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 8th, 2023 with his family by his side.
Jack was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on Monday, October 20th, 1947, son of the late Roy E. Holt and Alma Eliza Waddle Holt. Jack was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad and served as a deacon at Smithwood Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Jack was one of the funniest people someone could know, he was the kind of person that would have given you the shirt off his back if you ask for it.
Jack was survived by his loving wife, Vanita Holt; two daughters, Jaclyn and Robyn; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy E. Holt, who departed this life on August 2nd, 2010 and Alma Eliza Holt, who departed this life on November 6th, 2012
Visitations were held from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11th, 2023 at the Smithwood Baptist Church in in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11th, 2023 at the Smithwood Baptist Church Dr. Sonny Strange officiating.
Graveside services were held at 3:00 p.m. in the Greenwood Cemetery in Knoxville, Tennessee.
