While we do not know nearly enough about Rose's life, we know a lot surrounding the circumstances of her death. She was either killed or committed suicide by ingesting poison.
From the Seattle Star, January 10, 1922:
Death room in the home of Frank Gilliardi, 7038 S. Trafton st., Tacoma, where Gill lardi's daughter, Rose, toppled over dead Monday, and where Gilliard at once grabbed weapon and slew himself. The girl's death was presumably due to taking poison in seeing her father attempt an operation on a babe. The babe is now near death from the effects of the operation. Picture at the lower left is an exterior view of Gilliardis home.

Camillia, 8, and Bruno, 4. son of the dead girl, and said to be son of his mother's father.
