A Life Well Lived

Milca Acevedo was born on December 9, 1960 in Brooklyn, New York to Samuel Martinez and Maria Martinez. Milca was born the second of five children-Samuel Martinez, Irving Martinez, Genilda Fulton, and Awilda Alvarado.

In the early 1970s, Milca's parents moved the family from Brooklyn to Puerto Rico where she completed her primary education and graduated high school. After graduating high school, Milca moved from Puerto Rico to Montgomery County, Maryland where she lived for the remainder of her life. Milca first married Obed Morales and had three children-Obed "Tito" Benjamin Morales, Vanessa Marie Reyes & Olivia Rose Reyes. Milca later married Aramis Acevedo and gained two more children-Damaris Acevedo & Aramis Junior Acevedo.

Milca carried many titles in her life: daughter, sister, cousin, wife, mother, accountant, pastor, teacher, friend, and grandmother. Perhaps her favorite title in life was grandma.

Milca's family thanks you all for your overwhelming support during this difficult season. We have felt the same love from you all that we know Milca put out into the world.
