Robert McCalmant was born in Columbia county Pennsylvania in the year 1811 and died in Loraine precinct Friday, March 27th, 1896. Deceased but recently came to this county, but all speak in praise of him. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church for nearly fifty years having united with that denomination in 1850. His remains were laid to rest in the Gabe Rock cemetery. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. C. Bell on Saturday.
