Berneice Jean Mehaffie, age 92, died April 12, 2022. She was born on February 21, 1930, in DeKalb, Missouri, to Claude & Hazel Clayton.

She married Emory Mehaffie on March 21st, 1947, and had three lovely daughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Lola Faye McQuery; Alma "Louise" Donahue; Morgan Donahue; Hugh James Donahue; Kenneth Grant Donahue; Charles Calvin "Cal" Donahue; and daughter Sally Miller.

Survivors include her daughters, Sue (Greg) Lawson; Karen (Arlan) Rogers; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Berneice spent over 40 years of her career at Camp David, formerly Branded Emblem, and loved every minute of it. She was described by coworkers as funny, feisty, sweet and kind. It was also said she was more full of life than people half her age and was always dressed to the nines.

Berneice was a Grandma to everyone and touched the lives of many people across multiple generations. Those years consisted of entering her home and hearing a local sports game on her television, making sure her home décor matched the whatever holiday was coming up, endless casino visits, sleepovers where she was out of bed before you saw the sun, fabulous jewelry, purses, an entire room in her home for cat litter and high heels, stopping at every single garage sale on the block, conversations about Camp David, and of course never-ending laughter whenever she would dance her heart out and stick out her tongue to form such a silly face.

Berneice is now at peace, joining her daughter, parents and siblings for one fun-filled party.
