Professional Basketball Player. He was a highly skilled professional basketball player who was chosen in the first round of the 1969 NBA draft by the San Diego Rockets. He played for the Rockets for over a decade, from 1969 to 1980, and also showcased his talents for the Cleveland Cavaliers from 1970 to 1979, and the San Diego Clippers from 1979 to 1980. He had a remarkable season in 1974, scoring 15.9 points per game with a .483 field goal percentage. Over the course of his illustrious eleven-year NBA career, he played in 865 games, scored 10,882 points, made 3,630 rebounds, and 1,734 assists. Although he was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in the 1980 Expansion Draft, he decided to retire at the age of 34, without playing for them. His impressive feats on the court earned him a well-deserved spot in the University of Tulsa Athletics Hall of Fame in 1984, and the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016.
