William "Bill" Doble (aka"Pepsi") passed away on October 25, 2023, with his family and the wonderful staff at the Crest Nursing Home by his side. Bill was born on August 2,1950 in Butte, Montana to Bill & Ruth (Driscoll) Doble. He was the oldest of 5 kids and was the Prodical Son as we all knew. Pepsi went to St. Lawrence & St. Joes Catholic Schools. He went on to Butte High School and excelled in football & basketball. He attended Eastern Montana College on a football scholarship and played for 4 years.

He managed Little Big Man Pizza in Billings & later The Corner Pocket in Butte. After moving back to Butte he went on to work at Bob & Joe's Wholesale for Bob Koprivica who he thought the world of, and also met his future wife. They moved to Olympia, Washington for several years before they divorced. He came back to Butte & worked at Mail Boxes Etc. & St. James Hospital among multiple other jobs.

Pepsi lettered in football his junior year of high school. He was very proud to be inducted into Siver B's in 1991 and Golden B's in 2016. He loved to watch Butte High play and rarely missed a football game until going to the Crest 3 ½ years ago with Alzheimer's Disease.

Growing up Pepsi played baseball in the McQueen Division and then later softball in the open Division for Little Big Man Pizza in Billings where his team went to Regionals a couple times. While at Butte High they were the State AA Football Champions and in between he also liked to get some skiing in.

Pepsi is preceded in death by his parents Ruth & Bill Doble and nephew Cory Reopelle.

He is survived by his sisters Ann Marie Reopelle and her family Bobby & Jamie Reopelle (Maci & Gunner) and Holly & Bob York. Diane McLaughlin and her children Kriss & Dan Sullivan (Gannon & Teague) Jamie & Adel Ouellette (Talia & Allisa) Steve Ouellette & Mason McLaughlin (Tori). Brothers & sister-in-laws Terry & Patti Doble, (Kelly & Keenan) and Pat & Susie Doble, (Shawn & Tammy Doble (Garret & Easton) & Matt & Ashley Doble. We cannot thank or say enough about the wonderful staff at the Crest for all they did and how good they were to Pepsi! We love you all! You are amazing people and we'll miss seeing you!

One last note, we never figured out how he got the nickname "Pepsi" but know it was during his years in Billings. It's something we will never know but believe me we tried to get it out of him. Even the Dr.'s and nurses at St. James and the Crest tried to trick him into telling them but he wouldn't give it up. Ok Peps you won that battle for sure. R.I.P. Pepsi and here's to YOU until we meet again. If possible please wear purple.

Friends may call on Thursday after 10:00 am in the Duggan Dolan Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Services will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Rite of Committal will follow in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
