Gloria, 75, of Oakdale, our precious mother, grandmother, sister and aunt has made it to heaven to join with the ones she loved that have gone before her. She was born November 7, 1947, in Oakdale to Frank and Ima Hatch Doyle. She was named Gloria but called "Gloreen" by many of her family and friends. Gloria never met a stranger. With her welcoming personality, she made instant friends. Her loving heart felt people's joy and their sorrows. She would wholeheartedly listen to people and laugh or cry with them.

Gloria always greeted everyone with a "Hey Honey". She was well known in the community, having worked at various places including Arizona Chemical, Bloise Cascade, Oakdale Community Hospital, the Donut Palace, White Oaks Funeral Home, was a caretaker for many children and people needing assistance.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Walter Robert "Bobby" Edenfield; her parents, Frank Doyle, Jr. and Ima Hatch Doyle; her sisters, Elsie Welch, Ella Welch, Eveleen Wathen, and Cynthia "Ann" Perkins; nieces, Jayne Ellen Johnson and Hollie Doyle, nephews Ricky Frydendall and Shannon Perkins.

Gloria is survived by her son, Robert Kyle Edenfield and wife Lisa of Englewood, Colorado; granddaughters, Deanna Leigh Bearb, Dallas Nicole Edenfield, and Kirstyn Carrier; great grandchildren, Owen James Barron, McKenna and Cooper Guidry; brothers, Elmo (Pat) Doyle of Oakdale and Delmo (Janet) Doyle of Pine Prairie; sisters, Gracie Welch, Sylvia Jean Doyle, Edith Kay Piper, and Morna Sue Block; her special long-time friend and travel buddy, Yvonne Maricle and her family; along with a host of family and friends.

She had a special bond with her great niece, Macy, whom she cared for for many years.

Thank you to everyone who visited or called to check on her. We witnessed the loving care for all the nurses and aides at Allen Oaks Nursing Home Staff, who cared for her and told her they LOVED her EVERY DAY; Brighten Bridge Hospice; niece, Sommer who assisted her in so many ways; and her sister, Gracie who lovingly sat by her side in her final days.

Pallbearers to serve will be Derek Perkins, David Soileau, Andy Welch, Coby Coker, Triston Hayden, and Colyn Halvorson.
