Mayas Lejeune
Services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota for Mayas Lejeune, 85, who died Saturday at 3 a.m. at the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery in Jennings.
Surviving are his widow, Ida Hebert Lejeune, of Iota; one stepson, Gill Lejeune of New Iberia; one daughter, Mrs. Wayne Bevins of Jennings; five stepdaughters, Mrs. Gertie Higginbotham, Mrs. George Lacasse and Mrs. Hillary Doucet, all of Lake Charles, Mrs. Bert Daigle of Iota, Mrs. Sally Kennerth of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Claude Lejeune of Jennings and Levin Lejeune of Iota; four sisters, Mrs. Joe Gillete and Mrs. Lee Fontenot both of Lake Charles, Mrs. Anna Louviere and Mrs. Kenny Ardoin both of Jennings; three grandchildren, 19 step-grandchildren and 22 step-great-grandchildren.
Geesey Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
