Wyman La Verne (Bunk) Herron died Friday, July 26, 1991 at his residence.
Mr. Herron, 77, resided at 587 Good Springs Road.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Raymond Crow will officiate. Burial will be in Aiken Memorial Park . A retired farmer and retired truck driver with the DuPont Savannah River Company.
Mr. Herron was a son of the late William D. Herron and Maybelle Snipes Herron.
He was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Abney Herron, Aiken; four daughters, Margie Herron, Columbia, Carolyn Patricia Keller, Aiken, Sandra Walsh, Atlanta and Janice Herron, Columbia; one sister, Edith Meeks, Ashland, Virginia; three brothers, Wilbur E. Herron, Chickasha, Okla., Joseph M. Herron, Mechanicsburg, Pa., and William D. Herron Jr., Dimondale, Mich.; and four grandchildren, Douglas and John Keller and Brian and Erica Walsh.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Wessinger, Dewey Plunkett, John Lowry, Linwood Willing, and Tarrell Clark.
Memorials may be made to the Aiken High School Horticultural Department, 211 Rutland Drive, Aiken 29801.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at the residence or at the Hatcher Funeral Home, Langley.
