Catherine, the daughter of James Reilly and Catherine Delemere was born in County Westmeath, Ireland in 1825. She came to Canada with her parents as a small child. The family settled in Adjala Township, Simcoe County, Ontario.
On February 7, 1842, Catherine married Patrick "Paddy" Gallagher at St. Patrick's RC Church, Wildfield in Peel County, Ontario. After their marriage they settled and started their family in Adjala Township. They later moved to the Irish Block in Grey County, near Owen Sound. Catherine died in Owen Sound in February 1898. She was pre-deceased by her husband Paddy.
