age 20 was sited as a housekeeper - Servant for the Head of Household, Husband,
Wife, their many children. Guests not related to the family were sited as "Paupers"
Ida Epper was employed by the Johannes Family. The home was sited as a Poor Farm
Institution. It was near Swan Lake, Nicollet Co. MN.

Mrs Hubert Karpen, Mrs Fred Johannes and Mrs Sophia Hale were included in his
Feb 25, 1920 New Ulm Review, New Ulm MN Obituary. To note: John Hubert Karpen
was also a Karpen step Sibling and often went by Hubert. Brother William Epper
was living with Hubert & Ida ( Epper) Karpen in 1910 & 1920 U.S. Census and sited as Brother in Law to Hubert Karpen. ( William was Ida Barbara Epper Karpen's Brother)

In 1920, per the U.S. Census, Helena's Sister Sophia Karpen Hale and her Mother
Margaret Karpen, Sophia's two Children Florence & Stanley were living in New Ulm,
Brown County MN. Helena & John Dorn' s young Daughters Vera Dorn age 12 yrs and Annacleta Dorn age 10 yrs were living with their Aunt Sophia and Grandmother in 1920 after Helena had passed away. Helena and John Dorn's Family had moved from Minnesota to Iowa. Helena's Spouse John Peter Dorn worked for the Railroad.
