On the 11th of March 2001, a man out walking his dog found the body of a baby boy on the path in Craigmillar in a shallow grave.
The baby's body was found off the Portaferry Road, close to Mount Stewart, in an area known locally as the Old Gasworks.
The baby, believed to be just a few days old, has been named by the devasted residents, Craig Millar.
The police have appealed for the Mother to come forward but no one has.
The residents of Craigmillar got together and paid for the funeral of the baby who was just a few days old when found and also for the headstone. Over 300 people turned up for the funeral at Mortonhall cemetery, including the man who found the little baby, he was a pallbearer.
