Sherry attended Highpoint Grade School and graduated from Bazine High School in 1961. Sherry farmed with his dad from an early age, taking over the farm after his dad passed away. He loved farming but loved his cattle even more.
In 1962, he married Karen Grose and to this union 3 children were born, Scott LaDell of Schoenchen, KS, Crystal Lynn (Jesse) George of Marlow, OK, and Misty Dawn (Jimmy) Moralez of Platte City, MO. He is survived by his wife, 3 children, 5 grandchildren, Chadell (Carson) Atkinson, Caden (Morgan) George, Danny Holecek, Baylee Holecek, Alicia Moore, and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Pearlene Showalter and Marvalee Stanberry.
Sherry served on several boards: Alexander Coop, Bazine School Board, and Bazine State Bank Board. He also served as a
Bazine Volunteer Firefighter. He was a crop adjuster for many years.
