Horace Morgan Redding, 97, of Lawtey died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003, at Windsor Manor Nursing Home following a brief illness. Born in Lawtey, Mr. Redding was a longtime resident of Bradford County. He was a retired ship fitter and member of Evergreen Baptist Church in Lawtey. Mr. Redding is survived by: three daughters, Vivian Johns of Jacksonville, Sherry Herrin of Yulee and Sue Kimbrell of Starke; a son Richard Redding of Lawtey; two brothers, Louin Redding of Starke and Arthur Redding of Lawtey; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Ola Mae Redding. Funeral services for Mr. Redding were Aug. 13, 2003 in Evergreen Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Steinbach and Pastor Ron Kimbrell conducting the services. Interment was in Long Branch Cemetery in Clay Hill under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Starke.
