Mrs. Josephine Charter Bogardus, 64, died Monday afternoon at the home of her son, Frank F. Bogardus in Copenhagen after a long illness of diabetes and heart trouble. She was born in the town of Macomb, St. Lawrence county, Dec 28, 1858, daughter of John and Olive Charter. The greater part of her life was spent there, she going to Copenhagen nine years ago. Her husband the late Edward D. Bogardus died October 29.
Surviving are two sons, Frank D. Bogardus of Copenhagen and Royal J. Finley of Ogdensburg; one daughter, Mrs. Luella K. Norton of Gloversville, two brothers in the west, and a number of grandchildren.
