Death Comes Suddenly to Pooler Road Woman Who Had Suffered From Stroke
Melissa, wife of Robert Riley, died rather suddenly at their home on the Pooler road about two miles from this village last Wednesday forenoon following several months of failing health due to a slight stroke. She had been able to keep about however until shortly before the end came. Mrs. Riley was born in Canada about 68 years ago and her early life was spent in that country. Mr. Riley was her third husband and they had been married for several years. Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Milburn Doran of Antwerp [New York]. The funeral services were conducted from the late home at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon by Rev. W. F. Skinner, pastor of the Presbyterian church, and interment was made in Riverside cemetery, this village.
