Jean J. Paul, age 94, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, at BeeHive Homes of Oregon. She was born on July 23, 1929, in Reedsville, WI, daughter of Adolph and Alice (Moede) Busse. The family moved to New Holstein when Jean was a child, where she met the love of her life, William Paul. They married on Jan. 9, 1945 and celebrated 74 years together.
Jean was a homemaker and worked in retail as a manager for many years. She was the president of the American Legion Auxiliary in New Holstein for several years. She enjoyed gardening, cards, but most of all her children and grandchildren.
Jean is survived by her four sons, John (Deborah), Charles (Janice), William (Paul Bleskacek) and Robert; daughter, Jane (Stephen) Schmieding; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; and siblings, Carl Busse and Shirley Kelly.
Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park
