Catherine went to Echo Bay to visit her brother Daniel and there met Walter. They were married there. Later they moved to British Columbia.
According to The Signal - Sept 13, 1906 "She had been living at Vancouver, B.C. and on her way home to attend her brother's funeral in July she was stricken down with a complication of diseases, from which she never recovered...The funeral to Lucknow took place on Monday afternoon at 3:30. the corpse being taken to her old home in Vancouver.
