Metz Mausoleum was built ca. 1928 for the family of Fred W. Metz and his wife Belle Kern Metz. However Fred and Belle later moved to Ohio, where they died in 1946 and 1949, and were buried in Ohio. Their young son Fred Kern Metz (1903-1916) had been originally reburied in the mausoleum, but was removed sometime in the 1970's and reburied in Ohio with the rest of the family. The mausoleum is currently empty.
