John Marcus Lisenby, a resident of Mobile, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023 with his two girls at his side. He was born on March 8, 1939 as a native of Wallace Alabama. He is survived by his two daughters, Robyn (Kenneth) Harris; and Wendy (Greg) Gardner; brother Orlan (Joyce) Lisenby, sister Helen (Jerry) Windsor; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and many other friends and family members. He is preceded in death by his wife Kay Lisenby; parents Earl and Naomi Lisenby; two brothers, Alfred and Willard Lisenby; and three sisters, Thelma Odom, Flora Underwood, and Dorothy White.

After high school, John served in the United States Air Force. Shortly after leaving the military, he returned to his beloved Alabama and secured a position with Diamond Shamrock Chemical Company which later became Occidental Petroleum Company. After retiring from a long and successful career, he enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his friends and family. John's life will be celebrated on January 20, 2023, in a private family gathering at his much-loved Lisenby Camp house.
