Kanabec County Times (Mora, MN), 29 July 1926, page 1: "Aged Man Dies At Home Of Sister In Comfort. John Aavik died July 24 at the age 78 years, at the home of his sister, in Comfort township. He was born in Norway in 1848, and upon coming to this country located in Polk county, where he resided for 47 years. After the death of his wife he came to this county and made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Peter Ovik in Comfort township. Services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Grasston Luth. church, Rev. N. Wm. Anderson officiating. Interment was made in the Grasston cemetery."
