GLENDA MCKINNON (ARCHIBALD) PAYNE, 82, of Southaven. MS, passed away in Holly Springs Rehab and Healtcare Center on December 31, 2023. Glenda was born in Memphis, TN on February 21, 1941 to Harry and Lela McKinnon. Glenda grew up in Frayser and graduated from Frayser High School in 1959. Glenda was preced in death by her husband, Carl W. Payne, of 36 years, and is survived by her children, Alicia Weddle (Victor) of Chattanooga, TN, Chris Archibald of MS and Tony Archibald (Barbi) of Bartlett, TN. Glenda loved being a MeMaw and is preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, survived by 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Glenda is preceded in death by siblings, Harry McKinnon of Tunica, MS, Ronnie McKinnon of Millington, Tn, and survived by Jo Stephens of Huntsville, AL, Peggy Eubank of Rena Lara, MS, Becky Bradley, of Mountain Home, AR, and Steve McKinnon of Batesville, AR. Glenda was retired, enjoyed quilting and reading, but most of all loved being with family and friends.
Services will be held at Hinds Chapel United Methodist Church on January 20 at 2:00 PM (CST).
