Mrs. Alexander Claimed by Death

ONTARIO, Nov. 15 -- Mrs. Laura Belle Alexander, widow of A. E. Alexander, died Saturday night at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Dewees, 313 Plaza Serena, following a six-weeks' illness, at the age of 78 years.
A native of Farmer City, Iowa, Mrs. Alexander came to Ontario two years ago from Wellington, Kan. She was a member of the Baptist church.
Surviving besides Mrs. Dewees are five other daughters, Mrs. L. G. Barlow, Hollywood; Mrs. William Akers and Mrs. H. M. Smith in Kansas, Mrs. James Sheldon, North Hollywood, and Mrs. Charles J. Thomas, Van Nuys; four sons, G. E. Alexander, Ontario; Homer G. Alexander, Los Angeles; J. H. Alexander, stationed in Alaska with the U. S. Navy, and J. A. Alexander in Kansas; a brother, George Vandaveer, in Washington, 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow, 2 p. m., at the Richardson mortuary, 123 West G street, with the Rev. R. Merrill Jensen of the First Baptist church officiating. The remains will be accompanied to Wellington, Kan., for interment by Mrs. Dewees and Mrs.
