Clara Lee Maland, 79 years old of Spring Grove, IL, formerly Mundelein, IL, passed away Friday, January 6, 2023, at her home. She was born February 28, 1943, in Baldwyn, MS, the daughter of the late Norris Lee and Hattie Clara (nèe Scott) Burns.
Clara is survived by her three daughters, Kellie (Michael Sr.) Schmidt, Wendy Maland, Beckie Scott; her two grandchildren, Cori (Gerad) Gage, Michael Jr. (Caitlyn) Schmidt; her four great-grandchildren, Chance and Knox Gage and Conley and Michael III "Trey" Schmidt; her siblings, Richard Burns, Susan Fitzgerald, Ray (Ann) Burns, Kathy Brown; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her brother, Donnie Burns, and her sister, Nance Sample.
A Celebration of Life will be private for family only. Arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Home, Antioch, IL.
