DOROTHY J. GAUTHIER
(1938 - 2024)

Dorothy "Dot" Gauthier, age 85, a resident of Sturgeon Bay, and formerly of Manitowoc, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, February 2, 2024 at her residence.

Mom was born on December 15, 1938 in Manitowoc to the late Joseph and Emma (Vesely) Stadler. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1957.

On September 4, 1965, Dot married Jim Gauthier in Evanston, IL. He preceded her in death in 1995.

Dot worked as a stewardess with United Airlines, and completed her working career in the medical field with Lakeshore Urology where she worked for 30 years until her retirement in 1998. Before moving to Sturgeon Bay, she enjoyed volunteering at Meals on Wheels and St. Vincent De Paul. Above all, Mom enjoyed spending time with her family and friends – especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include three of Dot's children, Joe (Becky) Gauthier, Francis Creek; Mike (Jill) Gauthier, Green Bay; and Lisa (Brad) Burkart, Sturgeon Bay; two grandchildren, Andrew Burkart, Madison; and Rachel Burkart, Minneapolis; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dot was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Emily Stadler; husband, Jim; son, Jimbo Gauthier; and two special nieces, Sharon Kubis Bosserman and Linda Monka Staffaroni. She was the last to survive of all her siblings. Dot was preceded in death by her three brothers and three sisters: Ronald Stadler, Dolores Kubis, Mary Ann (William) Green, Wayne Stadler, JoAnn (James) Monka, and Joseph (Mary Ann) Stadler.

A Life Celebration Social for relatives and friends will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.
Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of Dot's cremated remains to be placed at rest at Evergreen Cemetery next to her husband, Jim. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
