Aunt Winnie was born in NYC in the late 1800's. She was French Canadian, her Mother Sophie spoke Canadian French at home. She married Eauris G. Van Pelt and resided at 274 Wilson Ave. Long Branch N.J.in a three story Victorian home on the Shore, Long Branch. She had polio and little use on one of her hands and arm. She made the best pies and Potato bread. Before WWII she raised two kids that were abandoned, I only know their first names, Georgette and Dicky. Her husband died in 1951. In the mid 50's she took in our Father George, Sister Georgann, brother Lloyd and myself Timothy. She taught me a lot and was an interesting person. Upstairs her Mother Sophie, Her Brother Frank and his wife Phyllis stayed. Aunt Winnie had her own bedroom, my father Lloyd and my self had a room, my sister had a smell area for her room. At one time the Van Pelts owned everything from Wilson Ave to second Ave. Including the Victoria Hotel. She died penniless in 1973 in Eatontown, N.J. She is buried at Glenwood Cemetery next to her husband Eauris, they have no marker. Eauris's parents and brother are next to him there they do have a marker. Reach me at FB Timothy E. Fyle Sr. if you have any information.
