Ruth Billings Barrett, 83, of Alexandria, passed away at St. Elizabeth Edgewood on February 2, 2024. She was born to Margaret and David Billings in Newport, Kentucky. She retired from the Disabled American Veterans after 32 years. Her husband of 56 years, Ralph, passed in 2016. Surviving family are Terri (James) Turner, Tina (Dave) Harris, and Steve Barrett. Grandchildren are Bradley (Hannah) Turner, Sarah (Travis) Umstead, Ashley Harris, Chelsea Harris and Paige (Ryan) Siple. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren. Surviving brothers are Danny Billings and Richard (Laverne) Billings. Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 noon Friday, February 9th, 2024 with the service to follow at Alexandria Funeral Home, Alexandria, KY. Robert Puckett to officiate. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery Southgate, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to the Disabled American Veterans or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
