Services for Mrs. Merle Osborn, 86, Trinidad, are set for 10 a.m. Saturday in the First United Methodist Church in Trinidad, with the Rev. Tim Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Trinidad Cemetery under direction of Callaway: Funeral Home in Malakoff. Mrs. Osborn died Wednesday in Corsicana after a short illness. She was born March 4. 1897, in Pekin, Ill., and was a member. of the Methodist Church in Trinidad and was a retired school teacher. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Anita M. Smyth, Trinidad; three brothers, Paul B. Strickland, Sun City, Calif., Russell Strickland, Eugene, Ore., and Donald Strickland, Custer, S.D.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Michael Smyth, Jeffrey Smyth, Robert Hafey, Roy Johnston, Steve Parker and Bill Martin.
