Funeral services were held Thursday for Garfield Fine, 78, of 238 Oakwood, who died Tuesday night in a Lansing hospital. He had been ill only a short time. Fine had been a farmer at Walloon Lake prior to coming here 14 years ago. He was born Nov.14, 1879 in Goshen, Indiana.
Surviving are a son, George of Grand Ledge, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Elder James Ward officiated at the O'Toole-Mapes Funeral Home and interment was made in Oakwood Cemetery.
